As a new chapter of the Music World Festival unfolds, Japan proudly takes the host position for the third time — and, most importantly, this marks my first victory in MWF history. With immense joy and gratitude, we invite the world to celebrate this achievement in a place where music is not just heard, but truly lived. 

This month, the global stage is set in Hamamatsu, in Shizuoka Prefecture — internationally known as the City of Music. Recognized as a UNESCO Creative City of Music, Hamamatsu holds a unique legacy that resonates across generations and continents. 

For centuries, Hamamatsu has been a cradle of musical craftsmanship and innovation. It is the birthplace of world-renowned instrument makers such as Yamaha, Kawai and Roland, and a city where traditional Japanese sounds coexist harmoniously with modern music and technology. Here, craftsmanship, discipline and creativity unite to shape the future of sound. 

From classical instruments to electronic innovation, from tradition to the global stage — Hamamatsu embodies the true spirit of music without borders. To honor this first victory, Japan opens its doors and its heart, bringing everyone together to a city that truly echoes with history, passion and sound.
